Dr. Bill Lombardi has been one of the highest-volume complex PCI and chronic total occlusion (CTO) operators in the world for over a decade. He's always striving to improve his skills and methods to perform safer and more efficient procedures. It's a journey to better that extends beyond technical and into mental and emotional health. The Patient Journey w/ Cody Pickett
Cody Pickett was a seemingly healthy x-UW & NFL Football Quarterback who suddenly found himself in the hospital needing an urgent open heart coronary revascularization. He was told this was the only option. Thankfully his network helped him find Bill and obtained a PCI.
His journey is one that highlight glaring obstacles for patients access to the best care available and the incentives for insurance companies.
